🌟 Illustfolio Lumina April Update: Now Supports Video Thumbnails
Small updates this month — and don’t forget to check out Instagram!

Hi, this is Showkaku Sano.
This month, I traveled to Hong Kong to see the set exhibition for the movie Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In. I was blown away by the incredible attention to detail! Also, the char siu rice I had along the way was delicious 👍
Now, here’s the April update: I’ve added support for video thumbnails! To update your theme, please refer to the help guide, “Update the Theme.”
Now Supporting Video Thumbnails

Until now, videos posted to Tumblr would show as gray blocks in the gallery view.
But with this update, video posts will now display thumbnails!
Plus, a small video icon will appear in the top-right corner of the thumbnail, making it easy to distinguish videos from illustrations at a glance.
This update is especially helpful if you want to showcase dynamic works like Vtuber models or 3D animations. Feel free to post all kinds of videos to expand your portfolio!
For the full update history, please check the release notes.
📸 Instagram: Weekly Updates

I’ve been quietly working on it 📸
Last month, I launched an Instagram account where I share snapshots themed around “everyday life with your portfolio.” I'm currently posting once a week!
Photos from springtime Kyoto and cozy desk setups — I hope they inspire you to enjoy your portfolio in a relaxed way.
If you like the vibe, please consider giving it a follow!
✍️ Posting Tips on X Too
On X (formerly Twitter), I’ve started posting quick portfolio tips 2–3 times a week.(Posts are in Japanese!)
Topics like:
How long should your bio be?
Where should you mention you're available for work?
How should you choose the illustrations for your homepage?
Each tip is short and easy to read — feel free to check them out!
That’s it for this month’s newsletter! If you haven’t purchased the theme yet, you can get it here!
See you next time!
