Hi, this is Showkaku Sano. I'm thinking about moving somewhere nearby, so I've been checking real estate websites every day. It's surprisingly hard to find the right place, though🤔
Here are the updates for February. This month's updates focus on mobile devices! To update your theme, please refer to the help guide, “Update the Theme.”

I've updated the header navigation for mobile views.
Previously, the navigation menu was hidden behind a hamburger icon (the three-line button) on mobile devices.
While a hamburger menu keeps the layout clean, you can't see what's inside until you click it. I've noticed users often put important links like "Commission" or "Shop" there. It's a missed opportunity if visitors don't notice them on mobile!
So, I replaced the hamburger menu with direct navigation links right from the start. No extra taps needed!
If you have many links, the menu is horizontally scrollable. A subtle gradient on the right edge lets visitors know there's more to see.

When you scroll down to view the artwork, the navigation hides automatically to give more space. It reappears as soon as you scroll back up.

This change should solve the problem of hesitating to add links just because they might get hidden on mobile. I hope you update and try it out!
By the way, if you have lots of links, I recommend putting the most important ones first (since the ones at the end will be hidden initially)!
Other Updates
Fixed an issue where post titles did not reflect the
Invert Header Text Colorsetting.

Why Lumina is a One-time Purchase
Lately, it feels like every tool around us is turning into a monthly subscription, doesn't it?
There are two main reasons why Illustfolio Lumina remains a one-time purchase.
First, fixed costs can be a heavy burden right when you need a portfolio the most. When you're just starting out as a freelancer or taking on professional work, income can be unstable. Paying a monthly fee just to keep your portfolio alive under those circumstances is a lot of pressure.
Second, I want you to keep your portfolio for a long time. The biggest advantage of a subscription is that you can "quit anytime," but portfolios are something you grow over time, so they don't really mix well. I want it to be a place you can use with attachment—as a tool for your trade and a place to reflect on yourself.
That's why I chose a one-time payment model for Lumina.
That’s it for this month’s newsletter! If you haven’t purchased the theme yet, you can get it here!
And I'm also on X and Instagram! Feel free to check them out.
See you next time!
